Super dooper 2009! A whole new MOCpages!

As promised, I've been hard at work on a whole new set of coolness for MOCpages. Everything's nearly ready and I wanted to give you a sneak preview of what's coming.

Soon you can get together, stay updated, find the cool stuff, track your favorite builders, join groups, create contests, prevent spamming... and of course, share your LEGO creations. Over 50 new features. Still 100% free.

Sneak preview

WOW! I can't wait! You are making a lot more harder! I'm not sure I'm ready for this! So, I can track Fed? Like, if he is talking to Wolf, then it will tell me? WOW! I can't wait!

Hmm... many of these new features look good, but I can't shake off the creeping feeling that it is turing into Flickr. I always appreciated the "old school" feel of MOCpages as opposed to the slick, clean look of Flickr. The new explore system looks good, and being able to watch your activity will be nice, though, and I look forward to those.

These are really good improvements, new rating system, fan system, the lot, is a very good idea. Is there perhaps going to be any new Homepage layouts?

Wow. THIS IS GONNA ROCK. Seriously, I've thought for several months now that the site needs a makeover. The features look really good so far!

Pretty good but like mike (Sorry for the pun)I like the "old school" feel. The "Whats buzzing" idea seems pretty good. Also the fan idea is awesome as well so we don't have to have "Alliances" to show that were friends.

More leeway about individual users' homepages and themes would be nice.

Also, I like the new Flickr-ish updates. Makes the site cleaner and more Web 2.0 like.

I think it's great, I saw the reviewers will have to leave an e-mail adress, that will decrease the spammer, I'm sure. I can't wait to check out the new group thing

Hi Sean,

I've been looking over the HTML for MOCpages.com and have spotted some problems that you should probably rectify.

Did you know each page contains not one, but TWO pairs of [html] tags, two [head] sections and two [body] sections - which is just plain terrible HTML!

Can you please investigate and repair?

cheers,
legovaughan

ps. Great work on the upgrade!

Hi, I like MocPages a lot, but I have one suggestion - I'd like a longer timeout on login sessions. MocPages isn't a bank or commerce site, so I think something like 6 hours or so would be reasonable w/o compromising security. It's frustrating to be asked to login again when you've been editing a page for a while and then lose the edits you made.
